It was introduced by her mother, tennis, Francoise Paszek, at the age of four and a half. Her mother is Chilean born, and her father is Ariff Mohamed, who was born in Tanzania, Kenya, raised and lived in Canada. Both her paternal grandparents come from India. She is currently coached by Angel Giminez having previously by Larri Passos (former coach of former ATP No.1 Gustavo Kuerten) was coached.
Paszek attended high school Dornbirn Shors and Shors Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium.
